i am a german born lifestyle photographer, stylist, and educator living in the twin cities with my daughter and our two cats. we love to travel and are always open to new adventures.
while living in germany i earned my master's degree at the university of hamburg. as a professional dressmaker i worked as a wardrobe stylist for different movie productions. my first advertising job was with united airlines. i sewed a black evening dress for one of their campaigns. i still remember how nervous i was and how relieved when i saw that the dress looked beautiful. i have since worked as a freelance fashion/prop stylist in different advertising campaigns including lamborghini, bmw, t-mobile, nivea, and ikea. this has set a high aesthetic and professional standard for my work.
in 2002 my daughter was born and in 2009 we moved to wisconsin, where my focus shifted more towards photography. i like to look at photographing people as a special experience that reflects on their personality and life. building these connections with an individual is what makes an exceptional photograph.
