sew face masks

IMG_4098.jpg

Our masks are made of double layered cotton fabric, washable in hot temperatures, and compliant to CDC guidelines. They can help against the spread of droplets when sneezing and coughing, although they cannot replace medical masks.

We will donate our masks to hospitals within the Twin Cities. We have a limited amount that we will be giving away on our website, curbside pickup only in Saint Paul click here. We are only a two person small-business. Our main goal is to encourage others within the community. If you have a sewing machine, please join! We are all in this together.

We made our masks with 9x8“ cotton fabric pieces so that they were larger and covered more of the face. With wearing glasses, they had a better fit. The instructions also recommends 7 ” elastic. We ended up using 6 ” elastic, as the longer elastic was too loose for most women. This could be different for guys. Feel free to share your experience in the comments :)
